As previously informed, the art program “Splendid Thang Long” will take place in Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi, on January 26 and 28, 2025.

To ensure security and traffic safety for the program, the Hanoi Police have implemented traffic diversions and designated routes for different types of vehicles. Therefore, for the next three days, vehicles traveling through certain areas near the My Dinh Stadium in Nam Tu Liem District should pay attention to the traffic diversions.

The Hanoi Police inform all participants to comply with the diversions, choose suitable travel routes, and support the police force in completing their tasks.

Temporary road closures include:

From 13:00 on January 26, 2025 (27th of the Lunar calendar) to 01:00 on January 27, 2025 (28th of the Lunar calendar), and from 17:00 on January 28, 2025 (29th of the Lunar calendar) to 01:00 on January 29, 2025 (1st of the Lunar calendar):

Prohibit cargo trucks with a capacity of 3.5 tons or more and passenger cars with a capacity of 16 seats or more (except for vehicles with priority badges, vehicles serving the program, and buses) on the following routes: Me Tri, Chau Van Liem, Le Quang Dao, Le Duc Tho, Hong Do, Vuon Cam, Tan My, Tan An Binh, My Dinh 2, Do Xuan Hop, Nguyen Co Thach, Trinh Van Bo, Tran Huu Duc, Ham Nghi, Nguyen Hoang, Nguyen Van Giap, and K2.

From 17:00 on January 26, 2025 (27th of the Lunar calendar) to 01:00 on January 27, 2025 (28th of the Lunar calendar), and from 17:00 on January 28, 2025 (29th of the Lunar calendar) to 01:00 on January 29, 2025 (1st of the Lunar calendar):

Prohibit all vehicles (except for vehicles with priority badges and those serving the program) on the following routes: Le Quang Dao (from Tan My to Me Tri); Le Duc Tho (from Tan My to Tran Huu Duc); Tan My, Hong Do, Tan An Binh, Vuon Cam, Do Xuan Hop, Nguyen Van Giap, and K2.

Additionally, during this period, traffic diversions and restrictions will be implemented on certain routes: Pham Van Dong, Pham Hung, Ho Tung Mau, Thang Long Boulevard, Xuan Phuong, Road 70 (from Cau Dien to Thang Long Boulevard), and Chau Van Liem.

Suggested routes for vehicles affected by the temporary closures and restrictions:

Vehicles from western districts heading to the central districts of the city (Hoan Kiem, Hai Ba Trung, Ba Dinh, and Dong Da) should take National Highway 32 to Provincial Road 70 or Thang Long Boulevard – Tran Duy Hung to reach the city center. For the return trip, they can take Ho Tung Mau or Pham Hung – Thang Long Boulevard – Provincial Road 70 – National Highway 32, or Pham Hung – Thang Long Boulevard – National Highway 21A.

Vehicles from northern districts (Bac Tu Liem, Dong Anh, Me Linh, and Soc Son) heading to southern districts (Hoang Mai, Thanh Tri, Thuong Tin, and Phu Xuyen) should use Pham Van Dong – Pham Hung – Vanh Dai 3 flyover and vice versa.

Other routes and vehicles should comply with the regulations on the operation of vehicles in Hanoi, as stipulated in Decision No. 06/2013/QD-UBND dated January 25, 2013, of the Hanoi People’s Committee (as amended and supplemented in Decision No. 24/2020/QD-UBND dated October 2, 2020), and other relevant documents issued by authorized agencies.

The “Hanoi Splendid Thang Long” international light festival is directed by the Hanoi People’s Committee and organized by the People’s Committee of Nam Tu Liem District.

The event will take place on New Year’s Eve (January 28) at My Dinh Square and the My Dinh National Stadium. The final rehearsal for the drone performance will be held on the evening of January 26 (27th of the Lunar calendar).

The highlight of the event is the drone performance combined with 4,050 firework effects. This is the most modern drone performance, integrating light and art fireworks with special effects.

The Hanoi Police encourage the public to use public transportation when attending the art program.

For those using private vehicles, please park outside the restricted and temporarily closed areas and walk through the checkpoints to the event venue as directed by the functional forces.
