On March 11, the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) announced that as of early March 2025, the construction progress of Terminal T3 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport had reached approximately 95%, and the project is on track as planned. The terminal is expected to be inaugurated on April 30, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of Vietnam.

According to the T3 Terminal Project Management Board, the construction of the PTB passenger terminal building has reached 100% completion in terms of architectural structure, and the architectural finishing works are expected to be completed by March. The electrical systems, air conditioning and ventilation, fire protection, elevators and escalators, jet bridges, baggage carousels, and security screening equipment are all nearing completion.

The elevated bridge, aircraft parking apron, and external infrastructure are also finalized. The expanded aircraft parking apron is ready and undergoing the necessary procedures for acceptance and operational deployment.

To meet the April 30 inauguration deadline, the T3 Terminal Project Management representative stated that the construction must be completed about one month in advance. This poses a significant challenge.

To achieve this, all pending works must be finalized before March 31, and the technical systems must be tested and commissioned by March 15…

Multiple construction packages of the T3 Terminal project at Tan Son Nhat have been completed and are undergoing final touches.

The T3 Terminal project at Tan Son Nhat Airport, with a capacity of 20 million passengers per year, comprises four main components: the passenger terminal, a multi-storey car park integrated with non-aviation services, an elevated bridge in front of the terminal, and an aircraft parking apron. The total investment for the project is nearly VND 11,000 billion.

The new terminal will distribute passenger traffic between Long Thanh and Tan Son Nhat airports and support the overloaded T1 terminal, ultimately enhancing passenger service quality.

Previously, social media platforms circulated information about a change in the allocation of domestic flights at Tan Son Nhat Airport starting May 5. Specifically, it was claimed that T3 Terminal would serve Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air, while T1 Terminal would continue operating for Bamboo Airways, Pacific Airlines, Vietravel Airlines, and Vasco. The circulated information also provided detailed guidance on how to get to T3 Terminal, which is located about 1 km from the existing terminals at Tan Son Nhat…

However, according to the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) and Tan Son Nhat International Airport, speaking to Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper, there has been no official information regarding the operation of T3 Terminal at Tan Son Nhat Airport.
