On March 18, leaders of the People’s Committee Office of Khanh Hoa Province announced that the Provincial People’s Committee has issued a decision approving the adjusted planning project for the area along Pham Van Dong Street, Vinh Hoa Ward, and Vinh Luong Commune, Nha Trang City (with a scale of 1/2000).
The northern area of Nha Trang City is allowed to construct buildings up to 40 floors high.
With a total area of more than 328 hectares, this area is characterized as a tourism and service development hub. The projected tourist capacity is expected to reach 25,000 people by 2030 and approximately 32,800 people by 2040. Regarding land planning, for tourism and service land along the coastline, the maximum consolidated construction density is 25%, with a maximum height of 40 floors. In the mountainous area, the maximum consolidated construction density is 10%, with a maximum height of 7 floors. For restricted green space land, the maximum consolidated construction density is 5%, with a maximum height of 1 floor.
This area is planned to be divided into three sub-areas, including one sub-area dedicated to coastal tourism services with a maximum consolidated construction density of 25%; one sub-area for tourism services combining mountainous terrain with a maximum consolidated construction density of 10%. Lastly, there will be a sub-area for forestry and experiential activities connected to the mountain ecosystem.
The northern area of Nha Trang City is also oriented towards tourism and service development.
In terms of investment phases, by 2030, the transportation infrastructure and main technical infrastructure are expected to be completed, along with the development of landscapes along Pham Van Dong Street and the construction of service and tourism areas. By 2040, the plan is to finalize the development of tourism services in accordance with the approved planning.
