On March 18, the Office of the Hanoi People’s Committee issued a notification regarding the conclusions and directives of Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, Tran Sy Thanh, at a meeting regarding the progress of three investment projects: the construction of Tu Lien Bridge and its approach roads from the intersection with Nghi Tam Street to the intersection with Truong Sa Street; the construction of Tran Hung Dao Bridge; and the construction of Ngoc Hoi Bridge and its approach roads.

Regarding the project for the construction of Tu Lien Bridge and its approach roads, Chairman Tran Sy Thanh assigned the Department of Construction to coordinate with the city’s Traffic Project Management Board to inspect and review the project’s implementation, develop a detailed plan for the next steps, and submit it to the Hanoi People’s Committee for approval before March 20, 2025.

Concerning the alignment, route, and red boundary of the bridge and the approach road on the Nghi Tam side, the city’s leader instructed the Department of Planning and Architecture to coordinate with the People’s Committees of related districts and counties to promptly finalize and submit the dossiers for appraisal and approval, with a deadline of March 20, 2025.

Regarding the establishment of an inter-sectoral project appraisal team, the city leader requested relevant units to report to the Hanoi People’s Committee before March 18, 2025…

On land allocation for resettlement, the city assigned the Department of Planning and Architecture to promptly coordinate and guide the People’s Committee of Dong Anh County to identify specific locations of cleared land for resettlement for the projects…

For the Tran Hung Dao Bridge construction project, the leader of Hanoi directed the districts of Hoan Kiem, Hai Ba Trung, and Long Bien to urgently carry out site clearance, and establish and submit the component projects for appraisal and approval, ensuring the conditions for project commencement in the second quarter of 2025.

Regarding the Ngoc Hoi Bridge construction project and its approach roads, concerning the route and location of the investment projects, the Chairman of Hanoi requested the Department of Planning and Architecture and related units to submit the route and location for appraisal and approval, to be completed by March 2025.

The city leader assigned the Department of Finance to promptly finalize the report appraising the pre-feasibility study report of the project and submit it to the Hanoi People’s Council for approval in principle at the Council’s specialized session in March 2025.
