The People’s Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province has issued an urgent document to various departments, sectors, and the provincial police regarding a plot of land in Wards 10 and 11 of Vung Tau city, intended for the implementation of the “Urban Area on 3-2 Street” project.

According to the People’s Committee, recently, some social media platforms have featured advertisements for a “Super Vung Tau Beach Urban Project,” accompanied by conceptual images of the land in Wards 10 and 11, which has been earmarked for the 3-2 Street Urban Area project.

Previously, the provincial authorities had approved the investment policy for the 3-2 Street Urban Area project in Wards 10 and 11, with a land area of over 96 hectares, and a detailed 1/500 plan approved by the People’s Committee of Vung Tau city.

The project aims to develop a commercial and tourism-oriented urban area, integrated with natural ecological spaces, reflecting the image of a smart and modern city, while adhering to the approved detailed planning and the province’s development orientation.

The project’s investment is estimated at nearly VND 35,000 billion, and the investor will be selected through a land-use right auction.

As of March 17, the provincial authorities are in the process of completing the necessary procedures in accordance with land laws, with the land-use right auction expected to take place in April 2025.

The People’s Committee clarified that the information and images circulated regarding the sale of the land in Wards 10 and 11 are inaccurate, as the land-use right auction has not yet taken place, and no investor has been selected.

To ensure transparency and prevent corruption, vested interests, and real estate market manipulation, the provincial authorities have instructed the Department of Agriculture and Environment to take the lead in publicizing information about the land, in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Justice, and other relevant units.

Additionally, the provincial police have been tasked with investigating and reporting to the competent authorities for strict handling of organizations or individuals who spread inaccurate information that affects the real estate market and the province’s land-use right auction.
