On March 17, sources revealed that the Investigative Agency under the Ministry of Public Security has completed the investigation and proposed the prosecution of 41 defendants in a case of “Violation of accounting regulations, bidding regulations causing serious consequences, Bribery, Abuse of position and power while performing official duties, and Taking advantage of the influence of people with position and power for personal gain” at Phuc Son Group Joint Stock Company and related provinces.

Among the accused, nine individuals were charged with bribery, including Hoang Thi Thuy Lan (former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Vinh Phuc); Le Duy Thanh (former Chairman of the People’s Committee of Vinh Phuc province and former Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Vinh Phuc); Pham Hoang Anh (former Vice Secretary of Vinh Phuc); Nguyen Van Khuoc (former Vice Chairman of Vinh Phuc); Cao Khoa (former Chairman of the People’s Committee of Quang Ngai); Le Viet Chu (former Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee); and Dang Van Minh, former Chairman of the People’s Committee of Quang Ngai and former Director of the Department of Transport of Quang Ngai.

Additionally, the Investigative Agency has proposed the prosecution of Pham Van Vong, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Vinh Phuc; Phung Quang Hung, former Chairman of the People’s Committee of Vinh Phuc; Ha Hoa Binh, former Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Vinh Phuc; Ngo Duc Vuong, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Phu Tho; and Nguyen Doan Khanh, former Secretary and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Phu Tho, on charges of “Abuse of position and power while performing official duties.”
