The Management Board of the project for construction of traffic works in Dong Nai province has announced that the project to upgrade and expand the DT 773 road, spanning nearly 40 km across three districts of Xuan Loc, Cam My, and Long Thanh, is expected to complete the approval of the feasibility study report this year.
The DT 773 road upgrade and expansion project will have a scale of 6-8 lanes and a total length of 40 km. The starting point of the project will intersect with National Highway 1 in Xuan Tam commune, Xuan Loc district, and the endpoint will connect to Huong Lo 10, which intersects with Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road 4.
With a total investment of over VND 4,300 billion, including a construction cost of about VND 1,900 billion from the provincial budget, the project is slated for completion by 2027.
To facilitate the project, Dong Nai province will need to acquire over 302 hectares of land, including approximately 45 hectares in Xuan Loc district, 238 hectares in Cam My district, and 19 hectares in Long Thanh district. Additionally, the province will also need to relocate around 395 households, with 98 in Xuan Loc, 191 in Cam My, and 106 in Long Thanh.
So far, the project has completed the appraisal process at the Department of Investment Management – Ministry of Transport (now the Ministry of Construction) and has submitted a report to the Department of Planning and Investment (now the Department of Finance) for consideration and approval by the Provincial People’s Committee.
Upon completion, the upgraded and expanded DT 773 road will enhance connectivity and reduce travel time between the districts of Xuan Loc, Cam My, and Long Thanh, as well as the Central Highlands and South Central regions, to the Long Thanh International Airport project.

The Long Thanh International Airport, spanning 5,000 hectares with a total investment of over $16 billion, is designed in three development phases. Once completed, the airport is expected to serve approximately 100 million passengers and 5 million tons of cargo annually.
In addition to providing a direct link to the Long Thanh International Airport, the DT 773 road will also improve connectivity and meet the transportation needs of the “diamond” of industrial parks in Bien Hoa – Long Thanh – Trang Bom – Nhon Trach. Furthermore, it will help decongest National Highway 1A and contribute to the socio-economic development of the key economic region in the South.
