The People’s Committee of Quang Nam Province has announced the conclusions of Mr. Tran Nam Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, following a meeting to discuss the planning proposal for the Nam Hoi An Resort subdivision.

Accordingly, the provincial leaders agreed to allow the initiation of procedures to submit to the competent authorities for consideration and decision on the direction to adjust the overall planning of the Nam Hoi An Resort subdivision as proposed by Nam Hoi An Development Co., Ltd.

It is noted that residential land will not be allocated within the project. The proposal to include a new golf course in the project area (west of Vo Chi Cong Street) will be considered.

The Vice Chairman of Quang Nam People’s Committee assigned the Department of Finance to coordinate with relevant units to review the Planning of Quang Nam Province for the period of 2021 – 2030, with a vision to 2030, and other related plans and projects to evaluate their compatibility. At the same time, the Department shall study the proposed adjustments and review the legal framework for investment of the project, advising the People’s Committee to report to the competent authorities for consideration and adjustment in alignment with the project’s planning.

The investor is assigned to research and propose new ideas to supplement the project’s development orientation, aiming to make it a truly attractive destination for the region and internationally. This includes introducing new services such as commercial outlet areas, a new golf course, and unique entertainment and recreational areas, creating a strong new driving force for Quang Nam Province’s development.

It is known that the Nam Hoi An Resort (Hoiana Resort & Golf) is located in Duy Xuyen and Thang Binh districts, Quang Nam Province, with a total investment of approximately US$4 billion.

The project comprises various components, including a complex of business games, tourism resorts, a golf course, and entertainment. The project is divided into seven phases. To date, Hoiana has completed Phase 1 and commenced operations with an investment of over US$1.4 billion.

At the conference on implementing the Planning of Quang Nam Province for the period of 2021 – 2030, with a vision to 2050, Mr. Nguyen Vinh Tran, Director of Nam Hoi An Development Co., Ltd., shared that the company has prepared an additional investment of US$300 million to implement other projects in Phase 2. These include a convention center, an exhibition area, sports facilities, shopping malls, and entertainment areas, the largest in Central Vietnam, along with many other items.

Additionally, Mr. Tran announced the implementation of Phase 2 of the Nam Hoi An Resort project, spanning an area of approximately 100 hectares (with completed site clearance) and a total investment of up to US$1 billion.
