The People’s Committee of Quang Nam province has announced the conclusions of Mr. Tran Nam Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, following a meeting to discuss the planning proposal for the Nam Hoi An Resort subdivision.

Accordingly, the provincial leaders have agreed to allow the initiation of procedures to submit to the competent authorities for consideration and decision on the direction to adjust the overall planning of the Nam Hoi An Resort subdivision as proposed by Nam Hoi An Development Co., Ltd.

It is noted that residential land will not be allocated within the project, and the addition of a new golf course in the project area (west of Vo Chi Cong Street) will be considered.

The Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Quang Nam province assigned the Department of Finance to coordinate with relevant units to review the Planning of Quang Nam province for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2030, and other related plans and projects to evaluate their compatibility. At the same time, the Department will study the proposed adjustments to review the legal framework for investment of the project and advise the People’s Committee to report to the competent authorities for consideration of synchronous and uniform adjustment with the project planning.

The investor is assigned to research and propose new ideas to supplement the project’s development orientation, aiming to make it a truly attractive destination in the region and internationally. This includes introducing new services such as commercial outlet areas, a new golf course, and unique and distinctive entertainment areas, among others, to create a new and strong impetus for the development of Quang Nam province.

It is known that the Nam Hoi An Resort (Hoiana Resort & Golf) is located in Duy Xuyen and Thang Binh districts, Quang Nam province, with a total investment capital of approximately US$4 billion.

This project comprises various components, including a complex of business games, tourism resorts, a golf course, and entertainment areas. The project’s progress is divided into seven phases. Up to now, Hoiana has completed phase 1 and put it into operation with an investment of over US$1.4 billion.

At the conference on implementing the Planning of Quang Nam province for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Mr. Nguyen Vinh Tran, Director of Nam Hoi An Development Co., Ltd., stated that the company has prepared to invest an additional US$300 million to implement other projects in phase 2. These projects include a convention center, an exhibition area, sports, shopping, and entertainment areas, which will be the largest in Central Vietnam, along with many other items.

Additionally, Mr. Tran mentioned that they will implement phase 2 of the Nam Hoi An Resort project, covering an area of approximately 100 hectares (with completed site clearance) and with a total investment of up to US$1 billion.
