After the renovation was complete, I hosted a small gathering to invite my neighbors to tour my new home. Although my living space is quite compact, I put a lot of heart into the remodeling and refurbishment. Instead of ornate decorations, I opted for a minimalist style, which suited my personal taste and helped keep costs down.

My neighbors were full of praise for my tiny 2m² kitchen. They commented on how this design was not only convenient and functional but also very clean and modern.

I was delighted to receive such positive feedback, and I must admit, I am quite pleased with my new kitchen as well. Before the renovation, it was a small and rather dull space, with the exception of a small window that provided some much-needed ventilation.

During the renovation, I made the bold decision to tear down 2/3 of the wall separating the kitchen and living room. This turned out to be a brilliant move, as the space instantly felt more open and airy. I was pleased with how much more spacious and comfortable my home felt.

I then painted the kitchen walls white to match the rest of the house. In the cooking area, I had custom-made cabinets installed to maximize the limited space. As the area had a window for ventilation, I decided against installing an exhaust fan, feeling that the window would suffice for odor control during cooking.

Additionally, since I don’t cook elaborate meals and prefer boiled dishes, an exhaust fan wasn’t a necessity for me. I chose a white kitchen table and cabinets to create a cohesive look, and the water heater was mounted on the wall next to the window to save space.

The kitchen was designed in a U-shape, and despite its small size, it efficiently accommodates three functional areas: cutting and preparation, washing, and cooking. I haven’t encountered any inconveniences during my time using this kitchen; everything is conveniently laid out and logical.

The final step in the renovation process was installing windows and doors for the kitchen. I opted for sliding doors to optimize space and keep the area neat and easy to move around in. Installing doors was essential, as they help contain cooking odors in the kitchen when needed.

The dining table is conveniently placed right next to the kitchen, making it perfect for cooking and serving meals. To be honest, I am thrilled with my new kitchen. Every corner of my home, including this space, gives me a sense of relaxation and healing.
