The exchange rate today, March 24th, between the Vietnamese Dong (VND) and the US Dollar (USD), as well as the Chinese Yuan (CNY), has seen a uniform increase at commercial banks.
At the State Bank of Vietnam, the central exchange rate for the VND/USD pair was set at 24,831 VND/USD, an increase of 18 VND from March 21st.
With a +/- 5% fluctuation band, today’s ceiling and floor rates are 26,073 VND/USD and 23,589 VND/USD, respectively. The reference exchange rate at the State Bank’s trading arm is 23,623-26,003 VND/USD (buying-selling).
As of 8:50 am on March 24th, Vietcombank listed the buying rate for USD at 25,450 VND and the selling rate at 25,810 VND, marking a 70 VND increase in both directions compared to the previous trading day.
Similarly, BIDV adjusted their USD rates, witnessing a 40 VND increase in both buying and selling rates, now quoted at 25,420-25,780 VND/USD.
In terms of the Chinese Yuan, Vietcombank made a slight adjustment, increasing their buying and selling rates by 4 VND from the 21st, resulting in a current range of 3,475-3,587 VND/CNY.
Meanwhile, BIDV’s yuan rates witnessed a more notable change, with a 5 VND increase on the buying side and a 6 VND increment on the selling side, now trading at 3,494-3,590 VND/CNY.
