Investment Fund Transactions: Bullish Buying Leads the Way

Specifically, the investment fund from Europe – Access S.A., SICAV- SIF- Asia Top Picks, purchased nearly 1.6 million TNH shares (equivalents to 53% of the registered shares) during the April 16 session, with a total of 3 million shares registered from April 11 to May 10.

At the end of the April 16 session, TNH’s market price stood at 18,650 VND per share. Based on this price, it is estimated that the foreign fund spent more than 29 billion VND on this transaction, increasing their ownership from 8.05% (11.6 million shares) to 9.15% (13.2 million shares).

This move by the foreign fund occurred when the TNH share price hit a two-year low on April 9 and quickly recovered along with the overall market due to the news of the US postponing tariffs on Vietnam for 90 days.

Similarly, the fund from Singapore – Pando 1 Investment, also became a major shareholder of APG Securities Joint Stock Company (APG) after purchasing 850,400 APG shares in the April 14 session, increasing their ownership to 5.25%, equivalent to more than 11.7 million shares.

At the close of the April 14 trading session, APG rose 3.34% to 9,900 VND per share. Since the beginning of 2025, APG shares have increased by nearly 50%.

At ICD Tan Cang – Long Binh Joint Stock Company (ILB), the foreign fund America LLC continued to increase its ownership to over 13%, equivalent to 3.4 million shares, by purchasing an additional 12,000 shares during the April 14 session.

Since the beginning of 2025, this is the third time that America LLC has reported additional purchases of ILB shares, with a total estimated volume of more than 670,000 shares, increasing their ownership from below 11% to over 13%.
