On April 21, the Hanoi Employment Service Center, in collaboration with local employment service centers, organized an online job fair connecting seven northern provinces and cities, including Hanoi, Bac Giang, Lang Son, Bac Kan, Bac Ninh, Thai Binh, and Ninh Binh.
DIVERSIFIED RECRUITMENT NEEDS ACROSS INDUSTRIES
According to statistics from the Hanoi Employment Service Center, the online job fair attracted nearly 100 units and businesses, recruiting 29,195 candidates. Bac Giang had the highest recruitment quota with 14,424 vacancies, followed by Bac Ninh with 5,399, Thai Binh with 5,080, Ninh Binh with 2,288, and Hanoi with 1,177.
When considering job categories, the recruitment quotas were mainly focused on the garment and footwear industries, with a demand for 10,948 workers. The electrical and electronic industries needed 8,420 workers, along with 5,485 production workers and 1,024 technical staff. Additionally, there were thousands of recruitment quotas in other fields such as mechanics, business, administration, sales and cashiers, and consulting and customer care.
Mr. Vu Quang Thanh, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Employment Service Center, said that the over 29,000 recruitment quotas are distributed across various fields, with different income segments and educational levels.
The quotas with high incomes of VND 15 million per month and above are usually for high-quality recruitment positions, requiring experienced and skilled workers who can handle high-pressure jobs.
Incomes ranging from VND 10 million to VND 15 million per month are often applied to business, management, and supervisory positions, as well as head and deputy head positions. For stable jobs such as accounting, office staff, and technical staff with qualifications, incomes typically fluctuate between VND 7 million and VND 10 million per month.
For part-time or temporary positions, or those suitable for fresh graduates and unskilled laborers in internship or simple jobs that do not require high expertise, incomes usually revolve around VND 5 million to VND 7 million per month.
Additionally, salaries are subject to agreement between the enterprise and the employee during the interview process. These negotiated salaries will depend on various factors such as skills, experience, education level, and job position, ensuring that the needs and rights of employees are met.
ENHANCING CONNECTIONS BETWEEN ENTERPRISES AND EMPLOYEES
According to the leadership of the Hanoi Employment Service Center, the current recruitment needs of enterprises are relatively vibrant. In the first quarter of 2025, Hanoi’s socio-economic situation witnessed positive changes, reflecting the recovery and stable growth in multiple sectors.

The three main drivers of growth are industry, trade and services, and investment and capital attraction, all of which have shown robust growth compared to the previous period, providing a solid foundation for the city’s growth in the coming months.
Generally, the recruitment needs of enterprises in Hanoi focus on high-growth service sectors such as information technology, business, and finance, reflecting the recovery and development orientation of these industries.
In the second quarter of 2025, the recruitment demand of enterprises in Hanoi is estimated at 80,000-120,000 quotas. Some prominent industries include industrial production, textiles and footwear, healthcare, and digital technology, which continue to require an increase in labor.
For instance, the information technology industry is seeking highly qualified personnel to meet the demands of digital transformation projects. The accommodation, tourism, and catering industries, along with upcoming major holidays such as April 30 – May 1 and the summer vacation, will be significant events for Hanoi residents and the whole country to travel, thus requiring a substantial increase in personnel during the upcoming peak season.
To enhance job connection efficiency, Deputy Director Vu Quang Thanh of the Hanoi Employment Service Center stated that the Center would continue to expand its labor market information collection efforts in the districts, counties, and towns. They aim to gradually enhance the quality of information collection and the job-seeker and job-finder database.
In conjunction with this, they will intensify job counseling and introduction services, labor supply for businesses and employees, and increase the number and quality of counseling activities. They will also place emphasis on enhancing interview attendance skills for job seekers. Attention will be given to improving short and long-term labor market analysis and forecasting for the capital’s human resources.
Simultaneously, the unit will increase the frequency and diversify the forms of information dissemination, propaganda, and promotion of policies on job solutions at the city’s Job Transaction Floor system, such as distributing leaflets, posters, and handbooks on the labor market.
Particularly, they aim to improve the efficiency of the Job Transaction Floor and related sessions, providing effective, quick, and convenient support to resolve employment issues and successfully connect job seekers, especially unemployed and insured job seekers, with suitable job opportunities.
“Overseas Employment: Nurturing a High-Skilled Workforce”
Sending workers overseas is a strategic move to cultivate a high-quality workforce. When these workers return to the domestic labor market, they bring with them a wealth of knowledge, a strong work ethic, and a unique cultural perspective. This exchange program creates a ripple effect, infusing Vietnam’s labor market with a talented and globally-minded workforce, fostering a culture of industry and innovation, and building a bridge between Vietnam and the international community.
