FPT University Takes the Lead in Vietnam’s Digital Transformation with a Focus on AI Talent Development
Hanoi, May 2025 – FPT University, in collaboration with leading academic institutions and government bodies, hosted a momentous event to discuss the implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW. This resolution, issued by the Politburo in 2024, outlines a strategic vision for leveraging science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation to propel Vietnam’s development in the digital era.

Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation, emphasized the crucial role of human resources in the nation’s advancement.
Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation, delivered a powerful message at the opening of the event, quoting General Secretary To Lam: “Businesspeople are warriors on the economic front.” However, Mr. Binh emphasized that today’s battle is not fought with military weapons, but with knowledge, technology, and especially AI talent.
He drew a parallel with the literacy movement of 1945, stating that just as every Vietnamese needed to learn to read and write back then, today, everyone should acquire technological skills, especially in AI, to keep up with global developments. He stressed the importance of equipping Vietnamese students with AI knowledge and skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with international experts.
Mr. Binh continued, “The Party has identified a ‘strategic quartet,’ as mentioned by the Prime Minister. We must create generations with knowledge and skills in artificial intelligence, harnessing the strength of the entire population, just as we did during the resistance war. From the central to local levels, from the government to the youth, we all need to embrace innovation and dedication for the nation’s progress. With their technological skills and creative thinking, the youth will be the deciding factor in Vietnam’s ability to overcome challenges and join the global community.”
Warning against falling behind in the global value chain, Mr. Binh asserted, “If we fail to train AI talent, we will be left out of the technology game. However, if we take the lead in AI education, Vietnam will emerge as a global labor force in this field.”
Finally, Mr. Binh appealed, “Just as President Ho Chi Minh instructed General Vo Nguyen Giap to teach history to soldiers, today’s youth should be instilled with patriotism, national pride, and belief in a progressive Vietnam. Let’s unite to innovate and educate a new generation of AI professionals. While the world worries about AI taking away jobs, Vietnam will rise as a global AI talent hub.”
With a shared vision for developing competent human resources, five prestigious academic institutions joined forces to establish a strategic alliance to support the implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW. The signatories included the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the Cryptography Technology Academy, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam National University’s University of Engineering and Technology, and FPT University. This alliance brings together diverse strengths and will serve as a significant boost, propelling the nation toward a secure and sustainable future.
