On May 7, 2025, the People’s Committee of Nghe An province organized its regular monthly meeting for April. Chairing the meeting was Mr. Le Hong Vinh, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.

According to reports, in the first four months of 2025, the total state budget revenue in Nghe An province reached more than VND 8,980 billion, averaging nearly VND 75 billion per day. Domestic revenue accounted for the lion’s share, with more than VND 8,389 billion, reaching 52.4% of the estimate and a 5% increase compared to the same period last year.

Revenue from land use fees alone brought in VND 2,960 billion, accounting for 65.8% of the estimate. Despite a 13.9% decrease compared to the previous year, it still made a significant contribution to the overall revenue.

Excluding revenue from land use fees and lottery operations, the province’s domestic revenue reached VND 5,411 billion, equivalent to 47.1% of the estimate, and a substantial increase of 19.2% compared to the same period.

These results indicate a positive sign of recovery in production and business activities in the province, as well as effectiveness in managing and exploiting revenue sources.

Additionally, revenue from import and export activities reached VND 522.6 billion, fulfilling 32.1% of the estimate and a 5.3% increase compared to the same period. This is a positive outcome given the volatile global trade environment, reflecting a strong recovery in import and export turnover in the province.

Achieving more than half of the budget revenue target in just four months is a result of resolute solutions in the direction and administration of the Provincial People’s Committee, as well as the efforts of industries and localities in expanding the revenue base, combating revenue losses, strengthening inspection and monitoring, and supporting businesses.

For the year 2025, Nghe An aims to collect VND 26,000 billion in budget revenue, significantly higher than the assigned plan of VND 17,726 billion. This includes VND 13,955 billion in domestic revenue excluding land use fees and lottery operations, VND 10,270 billion in land use fees, and VND 1,650 billion from import and export activities.

This target provides a solid resource foundation for investing in socio-economic development, ensuring social welfare in the province, and fulfilling the goals set by the Nghe An Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
