The Thai Binh Provincial Police’s portal recently published a list of 202 vehicles that were penalized for violating traffic laws, recorded between April 29 and May 6.

Specifically, through the surveillance camera system, the Traffic Police Division detected three vehicles violating the “Failure to comply with traffic light signals” rule, including: 30E-405.86; 17A-200.54; and 30M-5011.

During their patrols and inspections, the Traffic Police force recorded 199 vehicles violating the “Exceeding speed limits” rule, as illustrated in the following images:

According to Decree 168, driving a car at a speed exceeding the limit by 5-10 km/h will result in a fine ranging from VND 800,000 to VND 1,000,000. However, this violation will not lead to the vehicle being impounded or points being deducted from the driver’s license. For driving a car at a speed exceeding the limit by 10-20 km/h, the fine will be VND 4,000,000 to VND 6,000,000, and two points will be deducted from the driver’s license.

For driving a car at a speed exceeding the limit by more than 20 km/h but not more than 35 km/h, the fine ranges from VND 6,000,000 to VND 8,000,000, and four points will be deducted. If the car’s speed exceeds the limit by more than 35 km/h, the fine will be VND 12,000,000 to VND 14,000,000, and six points will be deducted from the driver’s license.

Additionally, if a driver exceeds the speed limit and causes a traffic accident, the fine will be VND 20,000,000 to VND 22,000,000, and ten points will be deducted from their license.

For those operating motorcycles, scooters, or similar vehicles, the penalties for speeding are as follows: exceeding the speed limit by 5-10 km/h results in a fine of VND 400,000 to VND 600,000; exceeding by 10-20 km/h, the fine is VND 800,000 to VND 1,000,000; and exceeding by more than 20 km/h will result in a fine of VND 6,000,000 to VND 8,000,000. If the driver of a motorcycle or scooter exceeds the speed limit and causes a traffic accident, the fine is VND 10,000,000 to VND 14,000,000, and ten points will be deducted from their license.

According to Decree 168, in cases where there is no traffic accident, drivers who run a red light in a car will be fined VND 18,000,000 to VND 20,000,000, while those on motorcycles or scooters will be fined VND 4,000,000 to VND 6,000,000. Additionally, four points will be deducted from the driver’s license.
