The released list includes 22 cases of motorists driving above the speed limit, recorded from May 1st to May 7th on National Highway 3 and Vo Nguyen Giap Street.

Following this announcement, the Cao Bang Provincial Police requested that the offenders come to the headquarters of the Traffic Police Division at: Group 5, Song Hien Ward, Cao Bang City, to handle the violation according to regulations.

If the violators do not come forward, the Provincial Police will coordinate with the local authorities of the vehicle owner’s residence, study, or work location, or the principal place of business to handle the violation.

Within 20 days, violation information will be posted on the electronic information page of the Traffic Police Department, and the status will be updated to warn the Vehicle Inspection Agency (for vehicles subject to inspection) for handling.

According to Decree 168/2024/ND-CP, driving a car above the speed limit by 5 km/h – 10 km/h will result in a fine of VND 800,000 – VND 1,000,000. However, this violation will not result in the vehicle being detained or points deducted from the driver’s license. For driving a car over the speed limit by 10 km/h – 20 km/h, the fine will be VND 4,000,000 – VND 6,000,000, and 2 points will be deducted from the driver’s license.

For driving a car over the speed limit by more than 20 km/h – 35 km/h, the driver will be fined VND 6,000,000 – VND 8,000,000 and 4 points will be deducted from the driver’s license. If a car exceeds the speed limit by more than 35 km/h, the fine will be VND 12,000,000 – VND 14,000,000, and 6 points will be deducted. In addition, driving a car over the speed limit and causing a traffic accident will result in a fine of VND 20,000,000 – VND 22,000,000 and a deduction of 10 points from the driver’s license.
