Currently, Vietnam Airlines operates the Hanoi-Moscow route with two weekly flights using the wide-body Boeing 787 aircraft, with plans to increase to three weekly flights from July 2026.

General Director of Vietnam Airlines, Le Hong Ha, shared that this event marks a new step forward in the context of comprehensive cooperation expansion between Vietnam and the Russian Federation across multiple fields.

The resumption of the direct Hanoi-Moscow route after a three-year hiatus is considered a strategic move, contributing to the promotion of trade, tourism development, and enhanced strategic connectivity between the two countries.
