In the early morning of May 12, Ho Chi Minh City police, in collaboration with Tan Chanh Hiep Ward police (District 12), cordoned off and examined the scene of a fire that occurred at a two-story house on Tan Chanh Hiep 18 Street.

Locals tried to put out the fire and rescue people, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

Preliminary information suggests that around 11:00 PM on May 11, locals noticed a fierce blaze erupting from the first floor of a house that also functioned as a repair and refrigeration business on Tan Chanh Hiep 18 Street, Tan Chanh Hiep Ward, District 12. Thick black smoke billowed, accompanied by loud explosions.

Citizens used mini fire extinguishers to combat the fire and alerted the authorities.

As of 8:30 AM, authorities remained at the scene, maintaining a cordon.

Upon receiving the report, the District 12 Fire Fighting and Rescue Team promptly dispatched multiple specialized vehicles and dozens of officers to the location.

After extinguishing the blaze, authorities inspected the site and discovered a man, approximately 35 years old, deceased in a second-floor bedroom. The victim’s identity remains unconfirmed.
