On May 7, Team 2 of the Market Management Division (Thai Binh Province’s Market Management Division) conducted a surprise inspection of P.V.D’s business household, located at Tran Nhat Duat Street, Group 9, Bo Xuyen Ward, Thai Binh City, Thai Binh Province, with Mr. P.V.D as the business owner of packaged food.

Team 2 inspecting goods at the business establishment
At the time of the inspection, the inspection team discovered 147 packages of packaged food of unknown origin, including: 16 packages of coconut juice, 1kg/package; 20 packages of grapefruit peel, 1kg/package; 58 packages of Thai green tea, 200g/package; 8 packages of chewy sweet potatoes, 1kg/package; 15 packages of durian rice, 1kg/package; 11 packages of Thai sticky rice flour, 1kg/package; 12 packages of Hong red tea, 1kg/package; and 7 packages of Thai red tea, 1kg/package.
None of the above-mentioned goods had any information indicating their origin or source, nor did they provide the name and address of the individual or organization responsible for the goods. The business owner was also unable to produce any documents or invoices proving the origin of the goods.
These goods, lacking clear origin and circulating in the market, present no basis for determining their production source or provenance.

On the same day, May 7, the head of Team 2 issued an administrative violation decision against P.V.D’s business household, fining them VND 8,000,000 to be paid to the state budget. The business was also forced to destroy the violating goods under the supervision of Team 2.
Moving forward, Team 2 will intensify market inspections, particularly for food and dairy products. They will also continue to promote awareness among the public and local producers and traders about the legal regulations, discouraging the production and trade of goods with unclear origins, counterfeits, or substandard products. Additionally, they will remain vigilant against any individuals or entities engaging in illegal activities.
