This afternoon (May 12), VinFast’s official Facebook page surprised everyone by posting an image, confirming the launch of a new vehicle in the next 24 hours.

The image reveals a vehicle with a boxy front end and cabin. Accompanying the post is an image of a traditional vegetable stall with the words “Tap Hoa Co Ba,” which translates to “Grocery Store by Ms. Ba.”

The post also includes a caption that reads, “Are you looking for a versatile, optimized, and environmentally friendly vehicle for your business and family?” Based on these clues, many speculate that this will be a small electric delivery van.

Automotive expert Nguyen Manh Thang shared his thoughts: “VinFast has introduced a new product, which I predict will be an electric delivery van. While the exact dimensions are unknown, I hope it will be narrower than the VF3, measuring around 1,500-1,550 mm. An ideal payload capacity would be 500-700 kg. As these vehicles will mostly travel on fixed routes, an extremely long-range is not necessary. A competitive price point below VND 300 million would be a game-changer.”

Meanwhile, VOZ forum admin Bach Thanh Trung offered his insights: “From the phrase ‘Tap Hoa Co Ba’ in the image, I believe VinFast is hinting at a vehicle based on the VF 3 platform. The front end and wheel design resemble VinFast’s smallest model.”

Regarding specifications, Trung predicts that the new model will share the same powertrain as the VinFast VF 3, offering a range of approximately 300 km per charge. While he didn’t speculate on the price, he expects it to be competitive upon market entry. However, as a vehicle primarily intended for cargo transport, Trung emphasizes the importance of software refinement for a stable performance.

Contrasting Trung’s views, expert Quang Anh believes that the new model is not derived from the VinFast VF 3. While the front end may bear some resemblance, he predicts that the rear will feature a cargo box, possibly with a high, enclosed design.

Given the vehicle’s intended purpose as a cargo van, Quang Anh anticipates a dual-motor configuration to accommodate heavier loads. He also suggests a range similar to that of the VinFast VF 5, exceeding 320 km per charge.
