The Thang Long Green City social housing project is located 4 km from Thang Long Bridge and was recently kicked off by a joint venture between the Hanoi Investment and Development Housing Corporation (Handico) and Viglacera Corporation in March. The project site is situated in the CT3 land lot of the Kim Chung new urban area in Dong Anh district.

Spanning nearly 3.7 hectares, Thang Long Green City comprises four 12-story buildings offering approximately 1,600 apartments to over 5,400 residents. The CT3 complex (right land lot) features more than 1,100 units currently under construction and is slated for completion in 2026.

Conveniently located near the Bac Thang Long Industrial Park, Thang Long Green City is just 500 meters away from the Hospital for Tropical Diseases and Kim Chung High School, and close to Cho Mun market. This location is advantageous for workers and residents in the area. The construction site for the CT3 building is currently being leveled.

The project was designed by a team of architects from Singapore, boasting a low construction density of only 33.78% at CT3 and 35.24% at CT4. The estimated total investment for the project is approximately VND 1,600 billion.

The apartments are priced at around VND 18.4 million per square meter (including 5% VAT and 2% maintenance fee). With sizes ranging from 50 to 64 square meters, the units start at about VND one billion each, making them an affordable option for low-income families and workers amid soaring apartment prices in Hanoi, which currently stand at VND 60-70 million per square meter. Not far away is the CT4 complex, completed in 2021, which offers nearly 500 apartments to over 1,500 residents. This project was recognized as an exemplary social housing development in 2022, significantly addressing the housing needs of workers and laborers in the area.

Thang Long Green City is one of the largest social housing projects in Hanoi, with nearly 1,600 apartments expected to be completed by Q3 2026. Located near the Bac Thang Long Industrial Park, the project targets workers, catering to the real housing needs in an area with a high labor density.

Compared to other projects like NHS Trung Van (196 units) or Uy No Dong Anh (466 units), Thang Long Green City has a larger scale and a different focus, catering specifically to the workforce in the industrial park.

Thanks to its proximity to the industrial park, the project not only shortens commute times but also significantly reduces living costs for workers. This strategic location benefits nearly 3,900 workers, enhancing their quality of life and contributing to a stable workforce for the industrial park.

This year, Hanoi is expanding its supply of social housing. The city plans to complete eight projects with 4,670 units, commence construction on six projects with over 10,200 units, and approve investments for six new projects totaling 10,500 units.
