On the afternoon of the 13th of May, at the Party Central Committee’s headquarters, General Secretary To Lam chaired a meeting of the Secretariat regarding the deployment and progress of collecting feedback from the people and various sectors on the amendment and supplementation of several articles of the 2013 Constitution.

In his directive statement at the meeting, the General Secretary emphasized the need to continue promoting extensive propaganda among the people about the purpose, significance, scope, and content of the amendment and supplementation of several articles of the 2013 Constitution. According to their assigned tasks, agencies need to effectively synthesize the people’s opinions, ensuring a full and objective record of contributions within the scope and content of the 2013 Constitutional amendment for reporting to the National Assembly for consideration and decision-making.

Regarding issues related to the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, dated October 25, 2017, of the 12th Central Executive Committee; and on continuing the renewal and rearrangement of the organizational apparatus, the General Secretary requested that the Government Party Committee focus on thorough, resolute, and urgent decentralization so that local authorities, especially at the commune and provincial levels, grasp the contents of management decentralization. Determining that decentralization serves the direct needs of the people, creating the most favorable conditions for them, and ensuring that all people’s requests are resolved at the grassroots level.
