“VPBank to Pay Out Nearly VND3.967 Trillion in Cash Dividends”
VPBank is set to distribute approximately VND3.967 trillion in cash dividends, maintaining its cash dividend policy for the third consecutive year. With a payout ratio of 5% (1 share receives VND500) and over 7.93 billion shares in circulation, the bank’s estimated dividend payout remains consistent.
This decision aligns with the bank’s commitment made three years ago to uphold a consistent cash dividend policy for a five-year period, starting from 2023. From 2010 to 2022, VPBank prioritized long-term growth, forgoing dividend distributions to focus on expanding the bank’s operations and fostering sustainable development.
However, since 2022, VPBank has struck a balance between long-term growth objectives and shareholder expectations. For the past three years, the bank has consistently allocated around VND4,000 billion annually for cash dividends, totaling nearly VND20,000 billion over this period.
The bank carefully considers dividend payouts to ensure they meet shareholder expectations while also maintaining sufficient capital to support the bank’s high growth trajectory as outlined in its strategic plans.
Chairman of VPBank’s Board of Directors, Mr. Ngo Chi Dung, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to cash dividends for the next two years, with specific payout ratios dependent on annual business performance, capital raising, and growth.
“We are determined to continue our cash dividend policy for the fourth and fifth years,” Mr. Dung assured.
