The Thai Binh Provincial Police recently reported that from May 7 to May 13, the Traffic Police Division recorded and penalized 190 cases of traffic violations. These violations included disobeying traffic light signals and speeding.
Specifically, through the surveillance camera system, the Traffic Police detected five cases of vehicles running red lights:

According to Decree 168, driving a car at a speed exceeding the limit by 5-10 km/h will result in a fine ranging from VND 800,000 to VND 1,000,000. However, this violation will not lead to the temporary confiscation of the vehicle or the deduction of driving license points. For speeding violations between 10-20 km/h, the fine increases to VND 4,000,000 – VND 6,000,000, and two points will be deducted from the driving license.
If a driver is caught driving a car at a speed exceeding the limit by more than 20-35 km/h, the fine will be VND 6,000,000 – VND 8,000,000, and four points will be deducted. For speeds exceeding the limit by over 35 km/h, the fine ranges from VND 12,000,000 to VND 14,000,000, and six points will be deducted from the driving license.
Additionally, if a driver causes a traffic accident due to speeding, the fine will be VND 20,000,000 – VND 22,000,000, and ten points will be deducted from their driving license.
For those operating motorcycles, scooters, or similar vehicles, the fines for speeding violations are as follows: exceeding the speed limit by 5-10 km/h results in a fine of VND 400,000 – VND 600,000; exceeding by 10-20 km/h, the fine is VND 800,000 – VND 1,000,000; and for speeds over 20 km/h, the fine is VND 6,000,000 – VND 8,000,000. If the driver causes a traffic accident due to speeding, the fine increases to VND 10,000,000 – VND 14,000,000, and ten points will be deducted from their driving license.
Decree 168 also stipulates that in cases where a traffic accident has not occurred, running a red light will result in a fine of VND 18,000,000 – VND 20,000,000 for car drivers and VND 4,000,000 – VND 6,000,000 for motorcycle or scooter drivers. Additionally, four points will be deducted from the driving license.
