In the afternoon of May 15, the Chairman of the People’s Committee of Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province, issued a decision to suspend Mr. Bui Ngoc Lam, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Mui Ne Ward, from his position.

Mr. Lam has been suspended for 15 days, starting today, to review and assign responsibility for his role in land and construction management in Mui Ne Ward. During this period, Mr. Pham Quoc Bao, Vice Chairman of Mui Ne Ward People’s Committee, will act as the Chairman, according to a decision by the Chairman of Phan Thiet City People’s Committee.

Mr. Bao will undertake the duties and powers of the Chairman of Mui Ne Ward People’s Committee (term 2021 – 2026) as prescribed by law until further notice from authorized agencies. These decisions by the Chairman of Phan Thiet City People’s Committee come into force immediately from May 15.

Prior to this, the Executive Committee of the Phan Thiet Party Committee held a meeting to discuss solutions to address difficulties in state management of land in Mui Ne Ward.

The Committee acknowledged that state management, particularly land management, in Mui Ne Ward has shown signs of laxity and requires immediate improvement.
