With a vast area spanning several hectares and boasting well-developed infrastructure and modern facilities, this driving test center has been inactive for almost three months, with no definite timeline for resumption.

Prior to the transfer of this sector to the Traffic Police unit (CSGT), the Hanoi Department of Construction reported 42 institutions for driver training and instruction, along with 13 driving test centers in Hanoi. On average, over 33,000 driving licenses were issued monthly following practical tests.

However, since the management shift to the Hanoi Traffic Police on March 1st, the driving test centers in Hanoi have remained inactive.

Explaining this situation, a representative from the Hanoi Traffic Police attributed it to the time required for personnel training and the process of organizing tenders and signing contracts between the centers and the managing authority.

Before the cessation of operations, these centers were usually packed with students registering for driving lessons and practical tests. However, for over three months now, the premises have been deserted, with only security personnel and duty officers present.

At several centers, cars and trucks used for instruction, along with vehicles equipped with electronic chips for practical tests, have been left exposed to the elements for days.

While some test centers have parking facilities, the vehicles have been left unused for an extended period, resulting in a thick layer of dust covering them.

The electronic equipment and infrastructure installed in the test yards have also been left unused for several months.

Many of these yards, which conduct practical tests for both cars and motorcycles, remain inactive.
