Aiming for an August 19th Opening

Mr. Le Thanh Binh, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board, stated that the local authorities have handed over the entire cleared land for the main expressway. Regarding the access roads and cross roads, there are still five households that need to relocate, and the Board is working with the local government to resolve this issue.

Currently, the project progress has reached about 60% of the plan, focusing on the following items: roadbed excavation; K95 and K98 embankment construction; various types of crushed stone and asphalt concrete construction, basically meeting the requirements.

Following the directives of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Construction, the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board has instructed the functional units and contractors to re-establish the progress, with a high determination to achieve the goal of opening this expressway on August 19th; and completing the entire project by November 2025.

According to Mr. Ta Gia Manh Hung, Director of the Hoa Lien – Tuy Loan Expressway Project Management Board, the remaining construction volume on the main line is over VND 200 billion. With three rolling chains, the contractors are striving for a minimum daily output of VND 3-4 billion. “We have requested the contractors to establish a progress chart and sign a commitment to tightly control this peak period,” said Mr. Hung.

After inspecting the construction site, Deputy Minister Nguyen Viet Hung noted that the project is entering its peak period and is about to reach its goal. The remaining site clearance and material issues have been basically resolved by Da Nang city. The Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board and the contractors need to continue to promote the spirit of “overcoming the sun and winning against the rain”, working in “3 shifts and 4 teams” to closely monitor the progress and control the project’s quality, ensuring the goal of opening the expressway on August 19th, celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day and 80 years of tradition in the transport industry.

Regarding the remaining site clearance issue for the access roads, the Deputy Minister requested the investor and contractors to proactively coordinate with the local government to resolve this issue immediately in May, completing the synchronous access roads in November.

The Hoa Lien – Tuy Loan Expressway project is 11.47 km long, passing through Hoa Lien, Hoa Nhon, and Hoa Son communes of Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city, with a total investment of over VND 2,100 billion.

The project is invested by the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board, which started in September 2023 and is expected to be completed by November 2025 according to the contract.

There is one construction package for this project, which is implemented by the Joint Venture of Truong Son Construction Corporation – Highway Construction Corporation 5 JSC – 17 Sole Member Limited Liability Company.
