The People’s Committee of Ca Mau province has directed its departments, branches, socio-political organizations, and district-level People’s Committees to urgently finalize plans for arranging, assigning, and handling public assets during the reorganization of administrative units.

The former headquarters of the Ca Mau Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has been abandoned for some time.

Provincial-level agencies and units in Ca Mau are required to proactively coordinate with their counterparts in Bac Lieu province to review and provide necessary information as requested by the Survey Team.

This includes specifying the total number of personnel after unit consolidation, the number of Bac Lieu officials expected to work in Ca Mau post-merger, the demand for accommodations and transportation for weekly commutes from Bac Lieu to Ca Mau, and the plan for handling surplus assets of each agency and unit post-reorganization.

Based on the survey results, the Ca Mau Department of Finance will take the lead in coordinating with relevant units to develop a comprehensive plan for arranging and assigning office spaces and accommodations post-merger. This plan will include proposals for upgrading, expanding, and renovating office spaces.

Regarding the arrangement and handling of public assets after the elimination of district-level administration and reorganization at the commune level, the Ca Mau provincial leaders instructed the district-level People’s Committees to direct relevant agencies and units to survey office spaces and other assets used by the units post-reorganization. Based on this survey, a comprehensive plan for arranging, assigning, and handling surplus public assets will be developed.

The leaders of Ca Mau province emphasized that the proper arrangement and handling of public assets post-reorganization is crucial to ensuring favorable working conditions for the merged units and promoting efficient and economical management of public assets, thereby preventing wastefulness.
