The Standing Committee of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee recently organized a meeting to discuss and provide opinions on the proposed location for the construction of the Binh Thuan High-Tech Park. During this meeting, the People’s Committee of Binh Thuan Province suggested a site located near the road connecting the expressway to Phan Thiet City, spanning approximately 1,000 hectares in Ham Hiep commune, Ham Thuan Bac district, and Muong Man commune, Ham Thuan Nam district.

This proposed site is conveniently situated 6.8 km from Phan Thiet station and 9.6 km from the Nguyen Tat Thanh roundabout. It boasts proximity to vital transportation hubs, including the Dau Giay-Phan Thiet expressway, the Phan Thiet-Vinh Hao expressway, the North-South railway, and the planned North-South high-speed railway, with a proposed station in the area. The site is also easily accessible via the national highway 1A bypass and the planned road connecting the Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet expressway to Phan Thiet City.

According to the People’s Committee of Binh Thuan, this location offers excellent connectivity for the transport of goods and the movement of experts. The nearby irrigation system and water reservoirs ensure a stable water supply for the high-tech park’s operations.

Proposed location for the Binh Thuan High-Tech Park

The suggested site does not overlap with any licensed mineral exploitation areas or national mineral reserves (titanium). Additionally, its proximity to the planned TOD urban area makes it attractive for attracting experts and other industries.

The People’s Committee of Binh Thuan will instruct the Department of Science and Technology to collaborate with consulting units to gather data and build a foundation for the establishment of the Binh Thuan High-Tech Park. They will also determine the development model, direction, and projected impacts and effectiveness of the project, refining the proposal to ensure alignment with the province’s master plan for 2021-2030, with a vision towards 2050.

The Standing Committee of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee emphasized the importance of establishing the high-tech park, aligning with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, on breakthrough strategies in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. This project is expected to drive economic and social development in the province.

The Standing Committee has agreed with the proposal and instructed the Party Committee and People’s Committee of Binh Thuan to direct the relevant authorities to promptly review and finalize the proposal for the establishment of the Binh Thuan High-Tech Park, ensuring harmony with related plans and projects and maximizing its potential effectiveness.
