The People’s Committee of Quoc Oai District announced that on May 15, the People’s Committee of Phu Cat Commune, in collaboration with the National Enterprise No. 5 Auction Company, successfully auctioned the lease rights of nearly 75,900 square meters of public agricultural land.
The auctioned public agricultural land plots range from 6,000 square meters to almost 25,000 square meters, with a total area of nearly 75,900 square meters. The land is intended for annual crop cultivation and aquaculture, with a lease period of ten years.
The auction was conducted through a direct secret ballot method, with a starting price of VND 485 per square meter per year.

Customers participating in the auction
Five customers won the auction with lease prices ranging from VND 5,605 to VND 7,605 per square meter per year, 15 times higher than the starting price.
After the auction, the winning bidders were granted confirmation papers for the lease contracts and were handed over the land use rights for the respective plots. The winners are required to pay the full land lease amount based on the auction price and the specific area of each plot.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Hoa, Chairman of Phu Cat Commune People’s Committee, stated that the auction of public agricultural land lease rights aims to increase state budget revenue. Additionally, it enhances agricultural production value in the region, ultimately improving the income of local residents.
