The 2025 Tata Altroz has been confirmed by Tata Motors as ready for the Indian market.
Despite being categorized as a B-segment hatchback, the 2025 Tata Altroz boasts an extremely affordable price tag, along with a youthful exterior and a host of comprehensive upgrades.
Tata Motors has high hopes for the Altroz 2025 to revive its position in the premium hatchback segment in India.
This is the first major upgrade since the Altroz’s launch in 2020. Tata Motors has focused on enhancing the Altroz to compete directly with heavyweights such as the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20, and Toyota Glanza.

In terms of interior, the Altroz facelift features a refreshed design with a neater dashboard. The cabin has been upgraded with some elements borrowed from the Tata Nexon and Curvv, such as the two-spoke steering wheel, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and automatic climate control system. Tata has also added some features that were previously exclusive to the Altroz Racer variant.

Additionally, features such as electric sunroof, cruise control, rear AC vents, interior ambient lighting, 90-degree door opening, automatic headlights and wipers, and a 360-degree camera remain unchanged from the current version.
The exterior of the 2025 Altroz facelift has been completely redesigned at the front, featuring new split LED headlights, updated LED daytime running lights, a newly designed grille with layered rectangular patterns, and a restyled front bumper with vertically oriented fog lamp housings. On the sides, highlights include body-colored illuminated door handles and new 16-inch five-spoke alloy wheels.

The rear of the vehicle sports a horizontal T-shaped LED taillight assembly, connected by an LED strip, giving it a wider appearance and a resemblance to the Hyundai Venue. The two-tone rear bumper is more sporty, and the “Altroz” lettering below the tailgate is a notable detail. The Altroz facelift is offered in five color options: Dune Glow, Ember Glow, Pristine White, Pure Grey, and Royal Blue.

Under the hood, the Altroz facelift retains the same engine options as the previous model, including a 1.2-liter gasoline engine producing 88 horsepower, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission, a CNG version with 74 horsepower and a 5-speed manual, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine generating 90 horsepower paired with a 5-speed manual.

Notably, the Altroz is the only hatchback in India to offer a diesel engine. It remains to be seen whether the Altroz facelift will be equipped with the 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 120 horsepower and a 6-speed manual transmission, currently available on the Altroz Racer.
The Altroz facelift will compete in the premium hatchback segment against rivals such as the Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and Toyota Glanza.
Tata has not yet announced the pricing for the Altroz facelift, but it is expected to be similar to the current model, which ranges from 665,000 Rs (201 million VND) to 1,130,000 Rs (342 million VND).
