On May 15, representatives of the People’s Committee of Vinh Yen City, Vinh Phuc Province, stated that the city’s authorities had completed the forced eviction of the last household out of a total of 331 households whose land was subject to revocation for the implementation of the Project of the Parallel Road to the Hanoi – Lao Cai Railway (the Southern route) in Dong Tam ward.
The project’s total land revocation area in Dong Tam ward is 15.81 hectares.
Up until May 15, only Ms. Nguyen Thi Linh’s household, with a land revocation area of 73.2 square meters, had not received compensation, support, or handed over the land.

Despite repeated persuasion and mobilization, Ms. Linh’s household refused to comply with the state’s land revocation decision, hindering the project’s progress.
To ensure land clearance and revocation for the project while upholding the law’s integrity, Vinh Yen City authorities conducted a forced land revocation against Ms. Nguyen Thi Linh’s household.
The implementation of vital infrastructure projects like the Parallel Road to the Hanoi – Lao Cai Railway not only enhances transportation but also boosts the region’s socio-economic development. Local authorities pledge to continue taking appropriate measures to safeguard the interests of affected citizens during the project’s execution while adhering to prevailing legal regulations.
