Continuing the session, on the morning of May 17, the Minister of Justice, authorized by the Prime Minister, presented to the National Assembly a proposal for a project  Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Vietnamese Nationality.  The Chairman of the Committee for Legal and Judicial Affairs of the National Assembly will report on the verification of this content.

Then the Minister of Finance, authorized by the Prime Minister, presented a proposal for a project  Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Bidding, Law on Investment in the form of Public-Private Partnership (PPP), Customs Law, Export and Import Tax Law, Investment Law, Public Investment Law, and Law on Management and Use of Public Assets.  The Chairman of the Committee for Economic and Financial Affairs of the National Assembly will present a verification report on this draft law.

During the morning session, the National Assembly will also discuss the  draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Product and Goods Quality.  At the end of the discussion, the Minister of Science and Technology will speak to clarify some of the issues raised by the National Assembly deputies.

On the same morning, the National Assembly will vote to pass  a resolution on mechanisms and policies to develop the private economy  and  a resolution on a number of special mechanisms and policies to create breakthroughs in building and organizing the implementation of laws. 

In the afternoon of the same day, the National Assembly will discuss in groups the following projects:  Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Vietnamese NationalityLaw on State Budget  (amended); and  Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Bidding, Law on Investment in the form of Public-Private Partnership (PPP), Customs Law, Export and Import Tax Law, Investment Law, Public Investment Law, and Law on Management and Use of Public Assets. 

Previously, at the discussion in the group and in the hall, there were 111 opinions on the draft resolution of the National Assembly on some special mechanisms and policies for the development of the private economy.

Receiving the opinions of the deputies, the draft resolution adjusted the time to stop the household business tax from January 1, 2026, instead of July 1, 2026.
