Vice Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha Signs Off on the Adjustment of the Ba Na – Suoi Mo Tourist Complex Project

Vice Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has recently signed and issued Decision No. 946/QD-TTg, approving the adjustment of the Ba Na – Suoi Mo Tourist Complex Project in Hoa Vang District, Da Nang City. This decision was made based on the proposal of the Ministry of Finance and the appraisal of relevant ministries, sectors, and the People’s Committee of Da Nang City.

The official name of the project after the adjustment is the Ba Na – Suoi Mo Eco-Tourism and Urban Area Complex. The project aims to develop the area into a leading high-class destination in Vietnam, integrating modern entertainment, resort, living, and working functions.

The project targets investing in the synchronous construction of technical and social infrastructure, along with commercial, service, accommodation, and entertainment works, and other functional items to meet the diverse needs of domestic and international tourists, as well as local people.

The project adjustment does not change the previously approved planning boundaries but focuses on rearranging the items and functional areas to enhance synchronization, efficiency in exploitation and operation, and contribute to promoting sustainable tourism development in the area.

Phase 1 of the project, implemented from 2008 to 2024 by Sun Group with a methodical investment, has achieved remarkable successes. Sun World Ba Na Hills, a key part of the project, has risen to become an international-standard amusement park complex and one of the tourism symbols of Da Nang City.

Sun World Ba Na Hills has consecutively been honored by the World Travel Awards (WTA) with prestigious awards: “Asia’s Leading Theme Park” for four consecutive years; “World’s Leading Tourist Attraction” and “World’s Leading Iconic Tourist Bridge” for the Golden Bridge in 2020-2021.

According to statistics, out of 10 international visitors to Da Nang, 7 choose Ba Na Hills as a must-visit destination.

With the new orientation and investment scale, the Ba Na – Suoi Mo Eco-Tourism and Urban Area Complex is expected to further enhance Da Nang’s tourism status on the international map, strongly contributing to the local socio-economic development and Vietnam’s smokeless industry.
