City People’s Committee Party Committee establishes Steering Committee and working groups to monitor and direct grassroots-level congresses for the term 2025-2030

The Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has just announced the establishment of a Steering Committee and working groups to monitor and direct grassroots-level party congresses for the term 2025-2030.

Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, was appointed as the Director of the Steering Committee for monitoring and directing grassroots-level party congresses.

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, leads the Steering Committee for monitoring and directing grassroots-level party congresses within the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Party Committee.

The Steering Committee’s deputy directors include Mr. Duong Ngoc Hai, member of the City Party Committee’s Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairman, and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, along with Mr. Tran Van Nam, City Party Committee member, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairman of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee’s Inspection Commission, and Mr. Ngo Thanh Tuan, Vice Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

Additionally, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Party Committee established 11 working groups to monitor and direct grassroots-level party congresses.

These working groups are tasked with directly monitoring, guiding, and inspecting the preparation of content, draft documents, and personnel for organizing model congresses and grassroots-level party congresses within their respective units. They hold weekly or ad-hoc meetings, chaired by the group leader, to address any issues that may arise.

The working groups promptly report and seek guidance from the Party Committee’s Standing Committee to resolve any issues that may arise during the congress direction process, ensuring timely resolution.

The working groups are responsible for adhering to the timeline for organizing party cell congresses under the term 2025-2027 party committee branches and party cells, as well as the 2025-2030 term party committees and grassroots-level party organizations.

The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Party Committee has also developed a plan for preparing and organizing the first Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Party Committee for the term 2025-2030.

According to the plan, the Congress will define orientations, goals, tasks, and solutions for the term 2025-2030. It will also involve discussions and contributions to the draft documents of the 14th Party Congress and the Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress for the term 2025-2030.

The Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Party Committee is expected to last no more than two days and will be held in July 2025. The preparatory session for the Congress will not exceed half a day.
