VinFast’s Electric Vehicle Factory in Ha Tinh

According to Báo Hà Tĩnh, on May 16, the provincial Economic Zone Management Board granted an investment registration certificate to VinFast Manufacturing and Trading JSC for its electric vehicle factory project.

The project aims to produce a range of electric vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, bicycles, pickups, buses, and autonomous vehicles, with an annual capacity of 400,000 units. The project will occupy an area of approximately 36.2 hectares, leasing the entire Phase 1 factory of Vinhomes Industrial Investment JSC.

The factory will be located at the Phase 1 factory of Vinhomes Industrial Investment JSC, on land plots marked CN4-2 and CN4-1 in the planned subdivision construction of the Vung Ang Economic Zone, Ky Anh town.

With a total investment of over VND 6,000 billion, the project is expected to operate for 70 years. The factory is slated to begin operations in Q3 2025, with mass production commencing in Q4 2025, and a capacity increase in 2027. The investment is divided into two phases: Phase 1 (in 2025) will target 200,000 vehicles per year, and Phase 2 (by the end of 2027) will aim for 400,000 vehicles annually.

In terms of employment, the factory is expected to create jobs for approximately 6,236 workers. Depending on the specifics of each workshop, production will be organized into one to three shifts per day, with each shift lasting eight hours, and the factory operating an average of 260 days per year.

Recently, the factory has started recruiting hundreds of workers in preparation for the production phase. The recruitment drive focuses on production and assembly workers, as well as logistics personnel, including forklift operators, warehouse handlers, and data management staff.
