In real-time updates from Forbes, the Vingroup Chairman’s wealth surged by $879 million (equivalent to 9.5%) this morning, propelling him into the top 300 richest people on the planet for the first time.

Compared to the beginning of April when Forbes released the list of global billionaires for 2025 (nearly 2 months ago), the Vingroup chairman’s wealth has increased by over $3.5 billion.

The stellar performance of Vingroup’s stocks has been the primary driver of the increase in billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong’s net worth.

Over the past year, Pham Nhat Vuong’s VIC has surged by more than 93%. This morning, VIC continued its upward trajectory, reaching a peak of VND 91,500 per share. Similarly, the VHM (Vinhomes) stock also soared to a near three-year high, touching VND 62,900 per share.

Meanwhile, VPL (Vinpearl), despite being recently listed, has witnessed a sharp upward trend since its debut.

With a net worth of over $10.1 billion, Mr. Vuong remains Vietnam’s richest person. Forbes currently recognizes four Vietnamese billionaires. The other three include Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao ($2.5 billion, aviation), Tran Dinh Long ($2.2 billion, steel), and Ho Hung Anh ($1.9 billion, consumer goods and banking).

Among these, only Ho Hung Anh recorded a slight increase (0.01%), while the other two billionaires, Thao and Long, witnessed a decrease in their net worth compared to the previous session.
