Honda has introduced a limited-edition version of its 125cc scooter, the Giorno+ Moto2 ThaiGP, to the Vietnamese market. Only 35 units of this model were produced in Thailand, and just four have made their way to Vietnam.

The Giorno+ Moto2 ThaiGP features a bold and sporty design inspired by the racing track and the Roaring Tiger, the race bike of Thai rider Somkiat Chantra. Its dimensions remain the same as the standard model, with a length of 1,902 mm, a width of 683 mm, and a height of 1,144 mm. The scooter has a wheelbase of 1,312 mm, a ground clearance of 155 mm, and a seat height of 780 mm. It tips the scales at 118 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 5.4 liters.

This special edition scooter is finished in a sleek matte black paint, accented by yellow and black graphics, including an image of a charging tiger, symbolizing strength and speed. This tiger also represents the birth year of Somkiat Chantra.

Additionally, the center cowl, front mudguard, and exhaust protector feature carbon fiber patterns. The sides of the scooter proudly display the logo of the Honda Idemitsu IRG racing team, along with the number 35, denoting the limited production run. White and red accents on the front further enhance the professional racing aesthetic.

The Giorno+ Moto2 ThaiGP is equipped with round LED headlights and turn signals integrated into the wide front cowl. It offers a flat floorboard for comfortable legroom and a sleek, single-piece seat with leather upholstery. Other notable features include a new LCD instrument cluster displaying essential information, a Honda Smart Key system with vehicle locator, theft alarm, and keyless ignition, a USB charging port in the front storage compartment, an external fuel filler cap, and a spacious under-seat storage compartment with a capacity of over 30 liters.

This scooter rides on 12-inch cast aluminum wheels wrapped in tubeless tires, measuring 100/90-12 59J at the front and 110/90-12 64J at the rear. Its tubular steel frame is suspended by telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear.

Braking duties are handled by a hydraulic disc brake with ABS on the front wheel and a drum brake on the rear. Powering the Giorno+ Moto2 ThaiGP is a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder, 124.77cc eSP+ engine that produces a maximum power output of 10.73 hp at 8,500 rpm, paired with a CVT transmission. Honda claims a fuel efficiency figure of 52.6 km/l for this scooter.

This exclusive Honda scooter is priced at a premium, with a price tag of up to 165 million VND, excluding registration fees. With this price point, the scooter targets affluent buyers seeking a unique and rare model in the market.

Previously, in March 2025, a special edition of the Honda Giorno+, named the Giorno+ Disney Fantasia 85 Years Limited Edition, was also introduced in Vietnam by private dealers. According to the dealers, the starting price for this model was set at 168 million VND, and it came with a complimentary Disney jacket and key chain. Due to its limited production of only 2,000 units, the availability of this model in Vietnam was quite restricted.
