The People’s Committee of Ca Mau province has recently decided to revoke the land granted for the construction project of a private polyclinic in Ca Mau city. The plot of land, spanning over 21,200m2, is located in Ward 1 of Ca Mau city. The decision to reclaim the land was made due to the termination of the investment project.

The abandoned plot of land in Ca Mau city has been reclaimed.
The Ca Mau provincial People’s Committee has assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to retrieve or cancel the land use right certificate previously issued to the project investor.
The Department of Construction is entrusted with inspecting and hiring consulting units to determine the specific costs incurred by the investor on the land, in order to consider reimbursement when a new investor is found. The tax authority will be responsible for calculating land rent and back rent, if applicable.
Previously, in November 2024, the Ca Mau Department of Construction had decided to revoke the building permit granted to the investor for the construction of the polyclinic.
Following this, the Ca Mau Department of Finance also decided to terminate the investment project for the construction of the private polyclinic in Ca Mau city.
As reported by Tien Phong, the construction project of the private polyclinic in Ca Mau city was undertaken by a joint venture between the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Multidisciplinary Examination and Treatment Joint Stock Company (now known as Ca Mau University of Medicine and Pharmacy Joint Stock Company) and Sao Viet Cosmetic Joint Stock Company.
The project was scheduled to commence in December 2017 and be completed by March 2019, on a plot of land measuring over 21,200 m2.
However, the project faced significant delays, and by 2023, the investor had only completed land leveling and a few ancillary items. Financial constraints on the part of the investor led to prolonged stagnation, and the project is now unable to proceed, prompting the Ca Mau provincial authorities to revoke the investment license and reclaim the land.
