Among the list, the extension of the Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien metro line to Trang Bom stands out. The line is expected to be over 20.7 km long, connecting from after the Suoi Tien bus station to Km20+738 at the Depot in Ho Nai 3, Trang Bom district. The total investment capital is estimated at VND 34,719 billion.

The project will be funded by a mix of central and local budgets, BOT capital, and land fund exploitation. It is expected to be a breakthrough project in connecting Ho Chi Minh City and its eastern satellite towns.

Another large-scale project is the Ring Road 4, which passes through Vinh Cuu, Trang Bom, Thong Nhat, and Long Thanh districts. The total length of the road is about 45.5 km, designed as an expressway with 8 lanes, along with parallel roads and sidewalks, each 7-8m wide.

The first phase of the project will construct 4 lanes of the expressway with a road surface of 25.5 m wide and a designed speed of 100 km/h. The total investment in this phase is about VND 24,759 billion, carried out under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.

Connecting Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai via Ma Da Bridge

Dong Nai is also calling for investment in a new road project from Ma Da Bridge to the intersection with Ring Road 4. The 44 km-long project, including the bridge and road, has a total capital of VND 11,020 billion. The bridge component accounts for VND 220 billion. This 4-lane road will play an important role in creating a trade corridor between Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc provinces.

In addition, the Dong Nai 2 Bridge project in Tam An, Long Thanh district, is being called for investment to connect from Ring Road 3 in Ho Chi Minh City at Go Cong intersection in Long Thanh My Ward, Thu Duc City, to DT.777B road in Tam An, Long Thanh district. The scale includes 8 lanes. The total investment is about VND 18,584 billion, in the form of BOT investment combined with BT land fund exploitation.

Another bridge project that Dong Nai is inviting interest in is the Cat Lai Bridge, expected to be built in Nhon Trach district. The bridge will have a cross-section of 6 vehicle lanes and 2 mixed lanes, with a total investment of about VND 19,391 billion, under the PPP model.

New Political – Administrative Center

The only project that is not related to transportation infrastructure is the new Political – Administrative Center of Dong Nai province, expected to be built on an area of over 105 hectares in Bien Hoa city. The planning includes 3 administrative buildings with 8-20 floors, a convention center, a square, an outdoor stage, and urban utilities such as commercial, educational, and medical areas, as well as housing.

The total investment capital for this project is about VND 6,800 billion, implemented under the public investment model combined with PPP. The project is expected to become a symbol of modern administration and urbanity of the province in the coming time.

In addition, Dong Nai is also inviting interest in many other projects such as the elevated road along National Highway 51 from Vung Tau intersection to Circle 11 intersection, with a scale of 6 lanes of elevated expressway, with a total investment of VND 13,011 billion. The project to upgrade and expand Bui Van Hoa Road in Bien Hoa City has a scale of 10 lanes, a route length of about 5.56 km, and a total investment of VND 8,052 billion. The Huong Lo 2 Road extension project to Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway is 5.2 km long, with a total investment of more than VND 2,476 billion. All three projects are carried out under the PPP model.
