Mobile World Investment Corporation (coded as MWG) has just announced its business results for the first four months of 2025, with total revenue reaching VND 48,635 billion, up 13% over the same period and completing 32% of the yearly plan. On average, this retail enterprise rakes in more than VND 400 billion each day.

The The Gioi Di Dong/Dien May Xanh (TGDĐ/ĐMX) chain contributed VND 32,600 billion in revenue, an 11% increase compared to the same period last year. Existing stores continued to maintain double-digit growth, surpassing 10%. Online channel revenue for the four-month period reached nearly VND 1,900 billion, accounting for about 6% of the total revenue of TGDĐ and ĐMX.

In April 2025 alone, the two chains achieved VND 8,300 billion in revenue, up 13% from the previous month and 3% from the same period last year. The refrigeration and cooling equipment sector (including air conditioners, refrigerators, and cooling appliances) grew by 30-100% thanks to hot weather and superior service policies such as same-day installation, installment payments, free installation costs, and extended warranties. Mobile phones and tablets showed slight growth month-on-month and increased by over 20% compared to the same period. TV sales increased by more than 20% from the previous month and have recovered to positive year-on-year growth.

Bach Hoa Xanh (BHX) chain recorded nearly VND 15,000 billion in revenue after four months, up 21% from the same period. Both fresh produce and FMCG sectors witnessed even growth. The average revenue of each store that has been stable for at least six months remains at VND 2.1 billion per month.

In the first four months, BHX opened 359 new stores, nearly 50% of which are located in the Central region. These new stores have generated positive operating profits after deducting operational costs at the store level.

As of the end of April 2025, MWG operates a total of 1,017 TGDD stores (including Topzone), 2,025 Dien May Xanh stores, 2,129 Bach Hoa Xanh stores, 326 An Khang pharmacies, 62 AVAKids stores, and 99 Era Blue stores.

This year, MWG sets a target of VND 150,000 billion in net revenue and VND 4,850 billion in after-tax profit, up 12% and 30%, respectively, compared to 2024. In a recent meeting with investors, Mr. Vu Dang Linh, CEO of MWG, affirmed that the company would not adjust its business targets and is determined to accomplish the set plan for 2025.

According to the CEO of MWG, the mobile phone/appliance market grew by about 4-5% in the first few months of the year, while MWG’s member companies achieved a growth rate of approximately 12%. The consumer goods sector witnessed an overall growth of 7-8%, with Bach Hoa Xanh leading the way with a 20% increase compared to the previous year.

Consequently, MWG’s overall growth rate stands at around 14% year-on-year. “Based on my discussions with various parties, I anticipate a modest improvement in purchasing power for the 2025-2026 period, with an estimated growth rate of 6-8%,” shared the CEO of MWG.

Addressing concerns about tariffs, Mr. Vu Dang Linh asserted that MWG might experience indirect impacts due to potential disruptions in demand, but the extent would not be significant. “The restructuring process has fortified our internal strengths, enhanced our flexibility, and bolstered our resilience against market fluctuations,” he emphasized.
