The Department of Construction has recently announced a series of invitations for investors to participate in infrastructure development projects in the province. Among the projects open for investment, transportation infrastructure accounts for a significant portion.

The Department of Construction has been entrusted by the People’s Committee of Dong Nai province to promote and seek investors for projects related to transportation infrastructure connectivity. In fulfilling this task, the department has invited investors to participate in a range of projects within the province.

These projects include: the extension of the Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien metro line to Trang Bom; Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 (phase 1); upgrading and expanding Bui Van Hoa Street in Bien Hoa City; Cat Lai ferry replacement bridge; Dong Nai 2 Bridge; the road from Ma Da Bridge to the intersection with Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4; and the elevated road along National Highway 51 from Vung Tau intersection to Gate 11 roundabout…

Other projects include: the Political-Administrative Center of the province; urban areas around Nui Le Lake in Xuan Loc district (Nui Le Lake Urban Area); urban and eco-residential projects in sub-area 6.1; urban projects of Long Thanh Airport and Long Thanh Service Urban Area.

Among the projects being promoted to investors, transportation infrastructure accounts for the majority with eight projects. Meanwhile, the water supply, drainage, and wastewater treatment sector comprises three projects. Additionally, the remaining six projects fall under the categories of urban and residential area development and the construction of the Political-Administrative Center.

Currently, for the project of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 passing through Dong Nai, MIK Group Joint Stock Company is the proposed investor. On the other hand, for the project of the elevated road along National Highway 51 from Vung Tau intersection to Gate 11 roundabout, Ho Chi Minh City Technical Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company is the proposed investor.

Out of the projects invited for investment by the Department of Construction, 11 projects have a preliminary total investment of nearly 150 trillion VND. Among these, the project with the largest investment is the extension of the Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien metro line to Trang Bom, with an investment of nearly 35 trillion VND. This is followed by the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project (phase 1) with a total investment of nearly 25 trillion VND.

In terms of investment modalities, the following projects will be implemented through public-private partnerships (PPP): Ring Road 4; upgrading and expanding Bui Van Hoa Street; Cat Lai ferry replacement bridge; the road from Ma Da Bridge to the intersection with Ring Road 4; the elevated road along National Highway 51 from Vung Tau intersection to Gate 11 roundabout; and the extension of Huong Lo 2 to the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay highway.

The remaining projects will be implemented through a mix of investment sources, including public investment, BOT and BT contracts, land fund exploitation, and investor selection through bidding…

The formation of these infrastructure projects has had a positive impact on the real estate market in Nhon Trach. Near the key infrastructure and industrial parks, the Fiato Airport City apartment project by Thang Long Real Group is about to enter the market. It is one of the few projects that address the housing needs of experts and high-level managers in the Nhon Trach industrial parks. Located on Ton Duc Thang Street, just a 10-minute drive from Long Thanh Airport, this project is part of the Thang Long Home – Hiep Phuoc urban area, spanning 9.8 hectares and offering apartments with one to three bedrooms, shophouses, and penthouses.

In the same area, a 40-hectare urban project is about to be launched, providing a rare supply of housing in Nhon Trach at this time.

In addition to the infrastructure projects currently open for investment, several key transportation infrastructure projects in Dong Nai have been promoted in the past, significantly impacting the economy, society, and the real estate market. Notable projects include the Ben Luc – Long Thanh expressway, Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, provincial roads 25B and 25C, and the inter-port road…, completing the transportation infrastructure system in Nhon Trach.

According to plans, by the end of 2025, Ring Road 3 and provincial roads 25B and 25C will be basically completed. The Nhon Trach Bridge on Ring Road 3, connecting Nhon Trach to Ho Chi Minh City, is expected to officially open to traffic in late June 2025, three months ahead of the previous schedule.

The Nhon Trach Bridge is expected to shorten the distance from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai, Long Thanh International Airport, and other provinces in the Southeast region. When put into use, the route will directly connect to the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay expressway, helping to reduce traffic pressure on existing roads, especially in Ho Chi Minh City’s inner city.

Additionally, a railway project connecting Tan Son Nhat and Long Thanh airports has been proposed for implementation. If approved, the project is expected to be constructed from late 2026 to 2029, with commercial operation commencing in 2030.

The most notable project is the Long Thanh International Airport, which is being expedited for completion of its first phase by the end of 2025 or early 2026. This project will have a significant impact on the economy and society of Dong Nai province in particular and the entire Southern market in general.
