Hoà Bình Construction Group Joint Stock Company (coded HBC on UPCoM) has just announced the registration of its leaders’ stock trading.

Among them, Mr. Le Viet Hieu, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Standing Deputy General Director, registered to purchase 500,000 HBC shares to increase ownership from 1.21 million shares (0.35% of charter capital) to 1.71 million shares (0.49% of charter capital). The transaction is expected to be executed from May 22 to June 20.

Mr. Le Viet Hieu (born in 1992) is the son of Mr. Le Viet Hai, Chairman of the Board of HBC. Mr. Hieu holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Corporate Finance from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (USA). Mr. Hieu previously served as General Director and was appointed Standing Deputy General Director on July 23, 2022.

In addition to Mr. Hieu, many members of Chairman Le Viet Hai’s family own HBC shares. As of the end of 2024, Chairman Le Viet Hai held 46.98 million HBC shares (13.53% ratio); his wife, Mrs. Bui Ngoc Mai, held 4.7 million HBC shares (1.37% ratio); Mr. Le Viet Hung, the brother of Mr. Le Viet Hai, held 1.3 million HBC shares (0.39% ratio); and Ms. Le Thi Anh Thu, the sister of Mr. Hai, owned 2 million shares (0.58% ratio), etc.

During the same period, Mr. Le Van Nam, Member of the Board of Directors and General Director of Hoa Binh Construction, registered to sell 500,000 shares due to financial needs. If the transaction is successful, Mr. Nam’s ownership in HBC will decrease from 0.18% to 0.04%, equivalent to 123,700 shares.

As of May 21, HBC shares are trading around VND 6,100 per share. It is estimated that Mr. Hieu will spend approximately VND 3.05 billion, and Mr. Nam will receive a similar amount when executing the transaction.

Mr. Le Van Nam, born in 1976, holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. He was appointed General Director on June 1, 2023.

In terms of business performance, in the first quarter of 2025, Hoa Binh Construction recorded a revenue of VND 692 billion, a decrease of 58% compared to the same period last year. However, gross profit increased by 146% to VND 52.4 billion. As a result, HBC reported a profit after tax of VND 5.3 billion, a decrease of 90.5%.

For the full year 2025, Hoa Binh Construction sets a target of VND 9,000 billion in total revenue and VND 360 billion in projected profit after tax. After the first three months, the company has completed only 1.5% of its annual profit plan.
