According to the Domestic Market Management and Development Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), following the Prime Minister’s instructions, the Quang Ninh Provincial Market Management Department directed the Market Management Teams to deploy a peak month of fighting against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property rights infringement.

Accordingly, from May 15-21, the Department inspected and handled 43 cases involving 43 subjects and 46 violations, with a total fine of VND 508,400,000 and a violation value of VND 518,801,000.
Of these, 12 cases involved intellectual property rights infringement, and 26 cases involved trading in smuggled and unidentified food products.
Authorities destroyed 664 counterfeit products bearing the labels of famous brands such as Adidas, Nike, Hermes, Longines, and Chanel.
Additionally, they ordered the destruction of 1,381 units of cakes, cereals, milk bars, 650 units of sausages, 289 units of various types of meat (fresh pork ribs, buffalo meat, pig ears, chicken feet, buffalo meat, etc.), 2,295 kg of fish and squid, 240 kg of pork bones, 136 salted eggs, 295 units of various seafood products, and 350 kg of unidentified pork meat and fat…

On May 15, the authorities inspected the cold storage of Mr. N.V.T, the owner of D.P Business Household in Cam Thuy Ward, Cam Pha City, and discovered 2,141 kg of unidentified food products.
On May 20, the Market Management Force, in collaboration with the police, inspected a location owned by Mr. N.D.P in Cam Trung Ward, Cam Pha City, and discovered 5.6 million unidentified baby clams worth VND 84 million.
All of the above goods were purchased from floating sources in the market, and the owners could not provide invoices, documents, or proof of their origin.
