On May 24, the Da Nang People’s Committee Office announced that the Chairman of the City People’s Committee has approved the investment policy for the project of the intersection between National Highway 14B and the Da Nang – Quang Ngai Expressway (also known as the Tuy Loan Interchange, located in Hoa Vang district).
This project, classified as Group B, has a total investment of nearly VND 540 billion from the central budget and Da Nang city budget. The construction is expected to take place from 2025 to 2028.

In terms of scale, this is an elevated intersection project that maximizes the utilization of the already constructed sections of the Da Nang – Quang Ngai Expressway.
Specifically, it involves building a bridge on National Highway 14B over the expressway, with the approach roads designed to match the scale of the highway. At the same time, the existing bridge on the Hoa Lien – Tuy Loan Expressway at the 78+144.31-kilometer mark will be expanded, along with the Hoa Lien – Quang Ngai cross-center branch within the interchange to ensure indirect left turns and uniformity with the scale of the Hoa Lien – Tuy Loan Expressway currently under construction.
The four existing direct right-turn branches will be utilized and further invested to complete them according to the approved scale. Additionally, four indirect left-turn branches and four frontage roads for local traffic will be constructed, along with the necessary electrical, lighting, signal, drainage, traffic organization, and landscaping works within the interchange.
Previously, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed a decision assigning the management of the Tuy Loan Interchange to the Da Nang People’s Committee. This decision aims to ensure smooth transportation in the area, promote socio-economic development, and match the local capacity for resource allocation.
The Da Nang People’s Committee is responsible for taking over the management of the Tuy Loan Interchange and implementing relevant projects. They are also tasked with completing the investment project for the construction of the Tuy Loan Interchange in a fully cloverleaf configuration, in line with the approved road network planning and road infrastructure planning. This ensures uniformity in terms of load-bearing capacity and vehicle types using the Tuy Loan Interchange with the Hoa Lien – Tuy Loan and Da Nang – Quang Ngai Expressways.
