Kymco, a well-known Taiwanese brand, has recently launched two new scooters in Vietnam: the Hermosa 50FI and the Like 50FI. These scooters are designed for students, particularly those without a driver’s license, and feature a 50cc engine.
The Kymco Hermosa 50FI appeals to those who favor a robust and muscular design, while the Kymco Like 50FI caters to those who prefer a softer and rounder aesthetic.

Both scooters are powered by the same 49.5cc engine, delivering a maximum output of 2.43 kW (approximately 3.26 horsepower) and a peak torque of 3.13 Nm.
According to the manufacturer, the Kymco Hermosa 50FI and Like 50FI offer impressive fuel efficiency, with consumption rates of 1.92L/100km and 1.95L/100km, respectively. These figures have been tested and approved by Vietnam’s Directorate for Quality Management, under the country’s regulations.

The Kymco Like 50FI is available in three attractive colors.
Due to their small engine displacement, both scooters are lightweight, weighing just 100kg and 101kg, making them ideal for students.
In addition to the engine, the Kymco Hermosa 50FI and Like 50FI share other features such as drum brakes on both wheels, halogen lighting, analog instrumentation, and a smart keyless ignition system. This system allows riders to start the engine, open the seat or fuel cap, and activate the anti-theft feature using a simple twist of the ignition switch, without the need for a physical key. The smart key also enables riders to locate their scooter within a 30-meter radius.

Both scooters boast a spacious under-seat storage compartment, with the Like 50FI offering additional storage space behind the front apron, large enough to accommodate a water bottle.
A convenient feature shared by both models is the fuel filler cap located behind the front apron, allowing easy refueling without having to open the seat.

The plant recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary. While Kymco has not disclosed whether the new scooters will be assembled locally, their introduction underscores the brand’s commitment to the Vietnamese market.
