Today marks a significant milestone in the strategic partnership between BIDV and the People’s Committee of Da Nang City. This collaboration aims to transform Da Nang into a high-quality service center, creating a positive impact across the Central – Highlands and the entire country. The signing ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee; Mr. Ngo Xuan Thang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Da Nang Party Committee and Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Council; Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee; Mr. Phan Duc Tu, Chairman of BIDV’s Board of Directors; Mr. Le Ngoc Lam, General Director of BIDV, along with representatives from central ministries and local departments, as well as numerous investors and large enterprises interested in investing and doing business in the Da Nang Free Trade Area.

As per the memorandum of understanding, BIDV will accompany the People’s Committee of Da Nang City in three key areas of cooperation. The aim is to bring outstanding values to the Da Nang Free Trade Area: (i) cooperation in developing technology solutions for the management and operation of the Da Nang Free Trade Area, (ii) collaboration in researching and proposing preferential policies to attract strategic investors and businesses to the Da Nang Free Trade Area, and (iii) partnership in the field of green finance and sustainable development (ESG).

Strategically located and boasting a well-developed infrastructure system, Da Nang has numerous advantages for establishing and developing a Free Trade Area. The city is currently awaiting the government’s approval for the establishment of the Da Nang Free Trade Area, which will include functional areas for production, logistics, trade and services, digital industry, innovation, and other functional areas.
