After a stint in Nha Trang, where he ventured into the bakery business and worked as a real estate broker, media and entertainment mogul Dien Quan’s Color Man Bui Dien embarked on a new initiative.

He shared, “There are only 16 hours left until the ‘Piggy Bank Bread’ program, where we’ll be selling bread for just 1,000 dong per loaf starting at 6 a.m. tomorrow.

This program is my way of celebrating my beloved son Tiger’s birthday. He’s turning three next week, an age when kids tend to act out.

I racked my brains for a gift idea and then it hit me—why not sell bread for 1,000 dong each? If we sell 100 loaves a day, we’ll make 100,000 dong. That way, I can save 100,000 dong daily and put it in a piggy bank for my son until he turns 18.

So, at 6 a.m. sharp, both of my bakeries in Nha Trang will kick off this special ‘Piggy Bank Bread’ offer, exclusively for our less fortunate brothers, sisters, uncles, and aunts.

Every morning, those who are less fortunate and work hard—whether it’s labor, lottery ticket selling, or driving—can come to my bakeries in Nha Trang and buy a delicious loaf of chicken shred bread for just 1,000 dong.

This special bread is made with a unique recipe crafted by my wonderful wife, who flew from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang to bake and guide our staff. She’s incredibly talented and supportive in this endeavor.

Initially, I considered selling pork bread for 29,000 dong, but preparing and stuffing the meat into each loaf was time-consuming, especially with our limited staff in Nha Trang. So, we switched to chicken bread, which normally costs 35,000 dong, but we’re offering it at a loss for just 1,000 dong. That’s a daily loss of 3.4 million dong, but it’s worth it for a good cause and to save 100,000 dong for my son.

I’ve never been more conscious of saving money than I am now.”
