Phu Kien Bridge perspective

Design named “Blooming Bud”

The Phu Kien Bridge project, managed by the Project Management Board for Nha Trang’s construction works, has a total investment of nearly VND 600 billion and is scheduled for completion between 2024 and 2027. The project aims to meet the transportation needs of local residents, develop infrastructure, connect the southern and northern areas of the city, and promote urban development.

Another perspective of Phu Kien Bridge

The Phu Kien Bridge will be constructed using reinforced concrete with an expected length of 280 meters and a width of 18 meters, including a 12-meter road, 2-meter sidewalks on each side, and a 2-meter median. The bridge deck will be asphalt concrete, and a complete lighting system will be installed. The approach roads on both sides of the bridge will be designed with a width of 20 meters, including a 12-meter road and 4-meter sidewalks, ensuring smooth traffic flow and corresponding to the bridge’s width. The project has undergone investment and funding appraisal.

The current Phu Kien wooden bridge

Approximately 2,000 households living along the Cai River in Xuan Ngoc, Hon Ghe 1, and Hon Ghe 2 villages in Vinh Ngoc commune rely on the existing wooden bridge, which was built and funded by a local resident in 2001 and has a toll fee. Over time, this wooden bridge has deteriorated, posing safety risks and often being washed away during floods. The local community eagerly anticipates the construction of a permanent Phu Kien Bridge to facilitate transportation, enhance their daily lives, and boost the region’s socioeconomic development.
